I hear you!  Being busy is actually one of your greatest Superpowers! It means you're not likely to be the kind of person who gives up!  You know how to make the time for the things that matter to you. So it's not a question of being too busy. Whether you want to spend an hour a week or an hour a day is up to you.  The real question is how much does achieving a goal with your dog really matter to you?

Positive reward-based training isn't really new.  It's been part of human behavior modification for decades. The application to animal training is more recent. The unique strength of this approach to training is building on the dog's natural abilities. When you recognize the things your dog is already good at, you'll stop worrying whether he or she is "smart enough"!

Reward-based training relies on interaction instead of control. That gives you more flexibility. Remember, your dog needs a reason to do what you want him/her to do. When you use my  5-step Framework you set your dog up to be successful. You also can revise your strategy as you go.

Today, thanks to behavioral science, our knowledge of dog behavior has evolved enormously. Today we know that the fear, force, and punishment methods of the past do more harm than good. Modern training is kind and calm and leads to good outcomes that last.

If you give your dog what he/she really wants you can build cooperation through healthy give and take. "Control" and "dominance"  no longer define the way we relate to our dogs. Today we know that it's easier to shape our dog's behavior to what we want with intentional interaction. We use proven tactics that keep dogs engaged and motivated so the idea that they will get away with something just doesn't come up. 

The monthly training Guides are a deep dive into training a specific target behavior.  Member requests determine the topics. Since we focus on just one topic a month, some members will wait for their topic to be covered.  However, that does not mean that they have to wait to get help.  Everyone has the opportunity to ask questions during live calls.  If you need a less public answer, you can send an email and I'll reply with an answer. Private lessons are included in the Mastery Level. You can upgrade temporarily to resolve an issue and then return to the regular level.

Since no one can guarantee the actions of another person, you are the only one who can determine how well the program will work for you.  This is a learning experience and so the results depend on the actions that you take. The system itself has been proven to work for dogs and people, but how well it works for any one individual depends on how well that person executes the plan.
