Meet Karolina Westlund

Karolina Westlund is an associate professor of ethology with more than 25 years of experience working with animal welfare issues. She has published multiple scientific articles relating to behaviour management and animal welfare.

An experienced and sought-after lecturer, she has held seminars in universities in 15 countries for animal guardians, trainers, instructors, behaviour consultants, veterinarians and animal caregivers.

She also teaches virtually through blog posts, webinars and extensive online courses about animal emotions, foundational and advanced animal training as well as how best to go about resolving unwanted and challenging behaviour.

She has also been invited to podcasts and summits and as a keynote speaker at international conferences.

Karolina is Fear Free certified and has a multidisciplinary perspective. Apart from applied ethology, she is also well-versed in behaviour analysis and affective neuroscience.
